FLAT PANEL TECHNOLOGY

  • Plasma TV - Plasma screens employ a matrix of tiny gas plasma bubbles coated by phosphor and charged by precise electrical voltages to create a picture. Presently, more screens beyond 30-inches are available in plasma than LCD. Dazzling images!

  • LCD TV - Liquid crystal display TV uses LCD technology (thin film transistor or TFT), as opposed to cathode ray or plasma for its visual output. The result is breathtaking images. Larger screen LCD televisions are hugely popular as more and more are produced.

  • Rear projection TV - A large-screen TV set that uses one of several technologies for generating the image. All methods yield larger screens than the one-tube, direct view CRT TV, which reached a practical limit around 36". Although not as visually dazzling as plasma TVs, rear-projection TVs offer a competitive alternative at a far more affordable price.

  • DLP TV - DLP (Digital Lighting Processing) technology uses an optical semiconductor to manipulate light digitally. Picture quality is masterful. You’ll find DLP technology in many televisions, home theater systems and business and entertainment projectors.
